How to use Barcode generator
Pick a type and enter your number
Choose EAN-13 or UPC-A for retail products, Code 128 for shipping and inventory, or another format. Check digits are added and verified for you.
Set the size and style
Use the standard size or scale it, choose the bar height, show or hide the numbers, add a caption and pick colors that scanners can read.
Download or print labels
Save one barcode as PNG, SVG, JPG or PDF, or paste a list to get a ZIP of images or a PDF sheet for common label paper.
Why use Utils365
Correct by design
Check digits are calculated for you, wrong ones are caught, and every format gets the blank margins and sizes scanners expect.
Real print sizes
Barcodes are sized in millimetres or inches, and images are made so every bar lands on whole pixels, so prints come out crisp.
Hundreds at once
Paste up to 1,000 codes with optional captions and get them all as images or as ready-to-print label sheets.
Private and unlimited
Everything is made in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, there’s no watermark and no limit on how many you make.
Frequently asked questions
Is this barcode generator free?
Yes. It’s free with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit, including batches and label sheets.
Can I use these barcodes to sell products in stores?
The barcode image is yours to use, but retailers require EAN and UPC numbers licensed from GS1, the official numbering organisation. Get your company prefix from your local GS1 office, then make the barcodes here.
Which barcode type should I choose?
Use EAN-13 for retail products in most countries and UPC-A in the USA and Canada. Use Code 128 for shipping labels, inventory and asset tags, ITF-14 for shipping cartons, and Code 39 or Codabar when another system asks for them.
What is a check digit?
The last digit of EAN, UPC and ITF-14 codes is calculated from the others so scanners can catch misreads. Type the number without it and we add it, or type the full number and we check it.
Why won’t my barcode scan?
Most scanners use red light, so red, orange and yellow bars can’t be seen. Use dark bars on a light background, keep the blank margins on and don’t print smaller than 80% of the standard size.
Which label sheets are supported?
A4 sheets with 3 × 8 and 4 × 10 labels, and US Letter sheets with 3 × 10 (Avery 5160 size) and 2 × 10 (Avery 5161 size) labels.
