How to use Crop PDF

  1. Add your PDF

Drop a PDF onto the page or click to choose it. The first page is shown so you can see what you’re cropping.

  2. Set the crop

Drag the box and its corners, type the margins to cut in millimeters, or click Auto-trim white margins to find the content for you.

  3. Crop and download

Choose whether the crop applies to all pages or just the current one, then click Crop PDF and save the result.

Why use Utils365

  • Auto-trim white space

One click finds the edges of the content on each page and trims the blank margins around it, page by page.

  • Nothing is lost

Cropping sets the visible area of each page instead of re-rendering it, so text stays sharp and searchable.

  • Private by design

Everything happens in your browser, so your PDFs are never uploaded to a server.

Frequently asked questions

Is the content outside the crop deleted?

No. Cropping changes the page’s visible area (its crop box), so anything outside is hidden, not deleted. Readers and printers show only the cropped area, but the hidden content is still in the file and can be recovered with PDF editing software. Don’t rely on cropping to remove sensitive information.

Can I crop just one page?

Yes. Go to the page, choose Only this page under Apply to, set the crop and click Crop PDF. The other pages stay as they are.

How does auto-trim work?

It renders each page at low resolution, finds where the non-white content starts and ends, and leaves a 3 mm margin around it. You can then adjust any page by dragging.

Does cropping make the file smaller?

Usually not, because the hidden content stays in the file. To reduce the size, run the cropped PDF through Compress PDF.

Does it work with rotated pages?

Yes. Margins are measured on the page as you see it, so top is always the top of the page on screen, even if it’s stored sideways.
