Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Title Case and Sentence case?
Title Case capitalises the main words, as in The Lord of the Rings. Sentence case capitalises only the first word of each sentence and names you’ve written in capitals, as in The lord of the rings.
Which words stay lower case in Title Case?
Short English words: a, an, the, and, but, or, for, nor, on, at, to, by, of, in, up, as, vs and via. They’re capitalised when they come first, last or straight after a colon.
What are camelCase, snake_case and kebab-case?
Ways of joining words without spaces, used for names in code and files. camelCase writes userName, snake_case user_name, kebab-case user-name and CONSTANT_CASE USER_NAME.
Can I convert from camelCase to snake_case?
Yes. Words are split at spaces, punctuation and changes of case, so getHTTPResponse becomes get_http_response. Digits stay with the word before them, as in html5_parser.
What does Keep acronyms do?
In Title Case and Sentence case it leaves words written in capitals, like NASA or PDFs, and names like iPhone as they are. If the whole text is in capitals, every word is converted.
