Why use Utils365
Several answers at once
See the gap in days, in years, months and days, in weeks and days, and as business days.
Business days
Count or add working days from Monday to Friday, skipping weekends.
Sensible month maths
Adding a month keeps the day of the month, or uses the last day of a shorter month, so 31 January plus one month is the end of February.
Private by design
Everything is worked out in your browser, so the dates you enter are never sent anywhere.
Frequently asked questions
How do I count the days between two dates?
Subtract the earlier date from the later one. The start day isn’t counted but every day after it is, so Monday to Friday is 4 days. Tick Include the end date to count both, making it 5.
How are business days counted?
Every Monday to Friday between the two dates is counted, and Saturdays and Sundays are left out. Public holidays are counted as business days, because they differ by country and region.
What is 31 January plus one month?
28 February, or 29 February in a leap year. When the target month is shorter, the result moves to its last day, as most calendars and spreadsheets do.
What date is 90 days from today?
Choose Add or subtract from a date, keep today as the start date, enter 90 and pick Days. The result shows the date and its weekday.
How do I add business days to a date?
Choose Add or subtract from a date, enter the number of days and tick Business days only. Weekends are skipped, so Friday plus one business day is Monday.
Can I go back in time?
Yes. Choose Subtract to count back from the start date, or pick an end date before the start date to count the gap backwards.
